QUALITY ASSESSMENT

I. Overview of the Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment (CETQA)

The Center for Educational Testing and Quality Asssessment (CETQA) is a research and center established under Decision Number 219/QD/DHQG/TCCB signed by the President of VNU-HCM on August 21, 1999.

II. Its main functions include:

- Educational testing and examinations research: conducting research whose results are used to make recommendations concerning the content, methodology, mechanism and procedures of examinations and assessments to be used within VNU-HCM;
- QA research and policy: conducting research whose results are used to make recommendations concerning QA mechanisms, procedures and activities that are appropriate to VNU-HCM.
- Accreditation at institutional and programme levels for VNU-HCM member universities.

Besides its main functions, CETQA also provides research services to the community in the following areas:

1. Examinations services using current educational test technology;
2. Consultancy services in test item banking and management;
3. Supplying the test management software Test Pool System version 2.0;
4. Designing and printing of OMR forms to be used in examinations and survey research;
5. Consultancy services in quality assessment for higher education institutions;
6. Psychological test services for career counseling.
7. Data processing for educational survey and counselling for the organization of information management
